    On the Sunday April 6th, 2014 Selah Cub Scout Pack 276 headed up the Yakima River Canyon and met up at Umtanum Recreation Area to do a hike up Umtanum Creek Canyon.

    Deborah Essman from the Kittitas County Field and Stream Club came to guide the Cub Scouts up the trail and teach them about all the cool things the Umtanum Creek Canyon has.

    Here is an news article that upsets me. It is about a federal judge ordering the Forest Service to remove a historic lookout from Green Mountain in the Glacier Peak Wilderness.     On Monday July 4th, 2011 we met up at Eastern Washington Adventures in Selah for the 4 of July sit seeing trip. We convoyed west about 32 miles pass Naches to Boulder Cave off of SR410.     At the Ahtanum State Forest, the new Whites Ridge Trailhead for the non-motorized users is near completion. They moved and widening to the Ahtanum Mid Fork Road to accommodate access to the new trailhead. The road dropping off of the Ahtanum Mid Fork to the Sno-park has been rerouted. This project turned out nice.
