The Sierra Club is for saving the environment. Sound good right? Wrong if you like to use public lands or waters. The Sierra Club wants to save the earth by keeping you on the pavement.
The Sierra Club pushes for stronger trail standards in the name of "environmental impact" which cost the land management agencies more money to keep the trails open.

Around 10 AM Wednesday July 4th, 2012 Eastern Washington Adventures members met up at Oak Creek Ace Hardware in Naches for the annual Boulder Cave hike. We convoyed to Boulder Cave Trailhead near Cliffdell, Washington.

Naches Ranger District Trails Need Adopted to Stay Open

Naches, Washington - At the October 2011 Naches Ranger District TWIG Meeting, District Trails and Wilderness Coordinator Jeff Leisy told the group how much it cost to keep trails up to standards which the District does have the funding.
