Thank you very much for the report. Great pictures.
I really wanted to go to this but I forgot because my mind was on getting out of the heat.
My daughter and I went out to the Volksfest today around noon. I was a bit surprised at the turnout.... much lower than the last couple of years. Certainly less front engined/liquid cooled VWs there. Still some nice and/or different rides on display.
This was one of the nicest, with a good looking exterior, interior and engine.
Loved the redline tires on this one!
Wasn't quite sure what the theme was with this one...
This was a very sweeeet ride.
Only a couple of Baja Bugs. This was the nicest.
This was a pretty nice Karmann Ghia.
Wowza! I bet this hauls ass!
This was a little strange. (Little being the key word here...)
The VW Things were parked in their normal spot.
I didn't recognize these rear taillights, but they are pretty cool.
This would be the one I'd want to own.
Busses...
I'd love to have one of these. This thing was better than showroom fresh.I didn't realize the side compartment ran all the way across. Cool!
A few dune buggies.
Though not a VW, still cool. An old Dodge A-100 motorhome.
